About University of Guelph
The University of Guelph (U of G) is one of Canada's top comprehensive research-intensive universities, internationally celebrated as 'Canada's Food University' and a global leader in veterinary medicine, agricultural innovation, life sciences, environmental sustainability, and business. Established in 1964 through the federation of the historic Ontario Agricultural College (founded 1874), the Ontario Veterinary College (founded 1862), and the Macdonald Institute (founded 1903), U of G educates over 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students across its picturesque 1,017-acre main campus in Guelph, the specialized urban campus of the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto, and the agricultural research campus in Ridgetown. Home to the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC)—consistently ranked #1 in Canada and among the top 5 veterinary schools worldwide (QS)—and the AACSB-accredited Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, U of G integrates rigorous research discovery with hands-on experiential education, co-op terms, and interdisciplinary collaboration across seven renowned academic colleges.
