About University for the Creative Arts
The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) is the second largest provider of creative arts education in the United Kingdom and Europe's pre-eminent specialist creative university. Formed through the historic merger of prestigious Victorian art academies dating back to 1866—including the Farnham School of Art, Canterbury College of Art, Epsom School of Art, and Maidstone College of Art—UCA was granted full university title in 2008. UCA operates specialized creative campuses across Farnham, Canterbury, and Epsom, in addition to dedicated facilities at Maidstone TV Studios. Celebrated worldwide for animation, filmmaking, architecture, fashion design, gaming, and the Business School for the Creative Industries, UCA's alumni include Oscar-winning directors (Gareth Edwards), BAFTA recipients, Turner Prize nominees, and internationally renowned fashion designers.
