About Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)
Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) is Malaysia's 12th public university and the nation's premier public higher education institution championing the unique integration of Naqli (revealed divine knowledge from the Quran and Sunnah) and Aqli (modern rational, empirical, and technological sciences). Conceived in 1998 as Kolej Universiti Islam Malaysia (KUIM) and chartered as a full autonomous public university on 1 February 2007, USIM is headquartered on a picturesque 340-acre campus in Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, supplemented by a specialized clinical and dental campus at Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur. Guided by its motto 'Berilmu, Berdisiplin Dan Bertakwa' (Knowledgeable, Disciplined and Devout), USIM is distinguished by its multilingual environment where academic instruction seamlessly integrates English, Arabic, and Bahasa Melayu. The university comprises nine academic faculties: Quranic & Sunnah Studies (FPQS), Syariah & Law (FSU), Science & Technology (FST), Economics & Muamalat (FEM), Medicine & Health Sciences (FPSK), Dentistry (FPg), Engineering & Built Environment (FKAB), Leadership & Management (FKP), and Major Language Studies (FPBU), alongside the Centre for Foundation Studies (Pusat Tamhidi) and the Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS). Ranked in the #451–500 tier in QS Asia University Rankings and holding a prestigious 5-Star SETARA competitive excellence rating, USIM serves over 13,000 students from more than 35 countries, producing holistic Muslim professionals, jurists, cyber forensic investigators, medical doctors, dentists, halal scientists, and financial technocrats.
