About Technological University Dublin
Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin – Ollscoil Teicneolaíochta Bhaile Átha Cliath), established on 1 January 2019 as Ireland’s very first technological university, represents the historic amalgamation of three pioneering higher education institutions: the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT, dating back to 1887), the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB), and the Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT). Educating nearly 30,000 students from more than 100 nationalities, TU Dublin is the second-largest third-level institution in Ireland. Spread across three prominent, interconnected campuses in the Dublin metropolitan area (the flagship state-of-the-art 73-acre Grangegorman City Campus in Dublin 7, the Tallaght Campus in Dublin 24, and the Blanchardstown Campus in Dublin 15), TU Dublin bridges academic research with hands-on practice. The university is organized into five faculties: Computing, Digital and Data; Engineering and Built Environment; Sciences and Health; Business; and Arts and Humanities. Renowned for practice-based learning, small laboratory cohorts, mandatory industry internships, and world-class research institutes (including the Greenway Hub, CeADAR Ireland’s National Centre for Applied AI, and the ADAPT SFI Research Centre), TU Dublin graduates achieve an extraordinary 95%+ employment rate and direct eligibility for Ireland's Third Level Graduate Scheme (Stamp 1G) post-study work visa.
