About Norwegian School of Leadership and Theology
The Norwegian School of Leadership and Theology (Høyskolen for Ledelse og Teologi — HLT), established in 2008 through the merger of the Pentecostal movement’s theological seminary (Pinsebevegelsens Teologiske Fagskole) and the Baptist theological seminary (Baptistenes Teologiske Seminar), is a NOKUT-accredited private specialized higher education college (vitenskapelig høyskole / akkreditert høyskole) located in the center of Oslo (St. Olavs gate 24) and in Stavanger (Gunnar Warebergsgate 15). Owned jointly by Filadelfiakirken Oslo (The Pentecostal Movement in Norway) and Det Norske Baptistsamfunn (The Baptist Union of Norway), HLT operates under the Norwegian Act relating to universities and university colleges. The institution is recognized across Scandinavia for bridging rigorous academic biblical scholarship with practical leadership formation, religious studies, and values-based business administration. HLT delivers accredited Bachelor degrees in Theology and Leadership (BATL), Religion and Society (BARS), and Leadership, Economics and Administration (BALA), specialized Master of Arts degrees in Theology and Values-Based Leadership and Congregational Development, and an array of recognized one-year programmes (årsstudier). As an accredited non-profit higher education institution subsidized by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, HLT maintains accessible, statutory semester fees (NOK 7,900 to NOK 13,900 per semester), and 100% of its study programmes are approved for full student loans, basic financial living support, and tuition fee funding through Statens Lånekasse for utdanning.
