Jilin University (吉林大学 / JLU), founded in 1946 in Changchun, Jilin Province, is one of China’s most prestigious and comprehensive national research universities under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education. Designated as a national "Double First-Class" Class A university, and a cornerstone member of the former national Project 985 and Project 211 initiatives, JLU consistently stands among the top academic powerhouses in China and East Asia.
