About Inje University
Inje University (인제대학교) is a leading private comprehensive research university located in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Busan, South Korea. Tracing its prestigious medical heritage to 1932 with the founding of Paik Clinic by Dr. Paik In-je, the institution formally emerged as Inje Medical College in 1979 before attaining full university status in 1989. Anchored by the extensive Paik Hospital Network (operating four major general and tertiary university hospitals, including Busan Paik Hospital and Haeundae Paik Hospital), Inje is designated as one of South Korea's elite Glocal University 30 institutions by the Ministry of Education (securing 100 billion KRW in national innovation funding plus 130 billion KRW in regional matching funds, totaling 230 billion KRW). The university is nationally recognized for biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, pharmacy, nursing, nano-biotechnology, healthcare engineering, digital healthcare convergence, and smart mobility. Inje operates a distinguished dual-campus infrastructure comprising its scenic Gimhae Main Campus (situated at the foot of Mount Sineo, housing advanced engineering complexes, bio-nanotechnology research institutes, Prime Hall healthcare simulation center, and on-campus student residences) and the Busan Campus (Medical Campus in Busanjin-gu, Busan, integrated directly with Busan Paik Hospital, serving clinical rotations for medical and nursing scholars).
