About Inha University
Inha University (인하대학교 / INHA) is a major private comprehensive research university located in Incheon, South Korea. Established in 1954 as the Inha Institute of Technology, the university was founded through a historic bilateral partnership between South Korean President Syngman Rhee and the Korean-American immigrant community in Hawaii, commemorated in its name (Incheon + Hawaii). Following its acquisition by the Hanjin Group (the parent conglomerate of Korean Air) in 1968, Inha rapidly evolved into one of South Korea's premier engineering, science, and transport powerhouses. The university is globally renowned for aerospace and aeronautical engineering, naval architecture and ocean engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain and transport logistics (School of Global Logistics), computer science, artificial intelligence, and clinical medicine. Inha operates a world-class tri-campus infrastructure comprising its expansive Yonghyeon Main Campus in Michuhol-gu (connected via Inha University Station on the Suin-Bundang Line), the state-of-the-art Songdo Aerospace Campus in Songdo International Business District (focused on aerospace convergence, autonomous drone systems, and advanced robotics), and Inha University Hospital in Jung-gu (a leading tertiary clinical teaching hospital). Furthermore, Inha established Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) in Uzbekistan as its official international branch campus specializing in ICT and computer software. With over 20,000 enrolled scholars, prestigious industry pipelines with Korean Air, Boeing, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Heavy Industries, and 100% English-taught degree tracks through its College of International Studies (CIS/SGCS), Inha University stands as an indispensable destination for international scholars.
