About Hanyang University
Hanyang University (한양대학교 / HYU) is a world-renowned private comprehensive research university founded in 1939 as South Korea's first private engineering institute by Dr. Kim Lyun-joon. Revered nationally as 'The Engine of Korea', Hanyang has produced more technology CEOs, venture founders, and executive engineers than almost any other Korean institution, driving the Miracle on the Han River and Korea's high-tech semiconductor, automotive, and IT industries. Hanyang operates an internationally acclaimed dual-campus model: the bustling, urban Seoul Main Campus in Seongdong-gu (directly connected to Hanyang University Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, hosting flagship colleges in Engineering, Medicine, Business, Humanities, and Social Sciences), and the expansive ERICA Campus in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do (Education Research Industry Cluster at Ansan, recognized as Korea's premier model for open innovation, hosting Kakao Data Centers, government research institutes, and advanced robotics clusters). Hanyang consistently ranks among the top 150 universities globally in the QS World University Rankings and is AACSB-accredited in Business Administration.
