About Graz University of Technology
Established in 1811 by Archduke John of Austria (Erzherzog Johann), the Graz University of Technology (Technische Universität Graz — TU Graz) is one of Europe's premier technical universities and the oldest science and technology research institution in Austria. Situated in Graz, the vibrant capital of Styria and Austria's second-largest city, TU Graz educates over 16,500 students across seven distinguished faculties spanning computer science and biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and information engineering, architecture, technical chemistry, and mathematics, physics, and geodesy. TU Graz is globally celebrated for its high-impact cutting-edge engineering research, world-class laboratory infrastructure, and fruitful industrial partnerships (including the Virtual Vehicle Research Center, Frank Stronach Automotive Institute, and close collaborations with AVL List, Magna Steyr, Infineon, and Siemens).
