About Dankook University
Dankook University (단국대학교 / DKU) is a premier private comprehensive research university located across two state-of-the-art campuses in the Seoul Metropolitan Area (Yongin, Gyeonggi-do) and South Chungcheong Province (Cheonan). Established in 1947 in Seoul's Hannam-dong district as the very first private four-year university founded following Korea's national liberation, Dankook successfully relocated its primary metropolitan campus in 2007 to an expansive 250-acre hillside site in Jukjeon, Yongin. Dankook operates an innovative dual-campus specialization model: the Jukjeon Campus serves as the university's flagship hub for Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Mobile Systems, and Culture/Arts; while the scenic Cheonan Campus—nestled alongside Lake Cheonho—anchors Korea's preeminent life-sciences and healthcare corridor, featuring the tertiary Dankook University Hospital, Dankook University Dental Hospital, and cutting-edge biotechnology institutes. Nationally renowned for mobile systems engineering, computer science, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and performing arts, Dankook provides world-class educational pathways, including the English-taught PRIMUS International College.
