About Chungwoon University
Chungwoon University (청운대학교, CWU) is a prominent private industrial university in South Korea, operating an integrated dual-campus network across Hongseong (South Chungcheong Province) and the Seoul Metropolitan Area at Incheon. Established in late 1994 by industrialist and educator Lee Jong-seong under the Hyejeon Academy educational foundation, Chungwoon holds a distinctive regulatory status as one of only two remaining industrial universities (산업대학) in South Korea. The university is celebrated nationwide for its College of Performing and Media Arts—fostering high-profile entertainment alumni including legendary Super Junior members (Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae), TVXQ's U-Know Yunho, SHINee's Onew and Jonghyun, and acclaimed actors So Ji-sub and Choi Daniel. Furthermore, Chungwoon is acclaimed for hotel culinary arts, KABONE-accredited nursing, airline service, and industry-commissioned convergence engineering based out of the metropolitan Incheon Dohwa Campus.
