Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry is the world-renowned medical and dental school of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), a member of the prestigious Russell Group and the University of London. Dating back to the founding of St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 1123 and the establishment of the London Hospital Medical College in 1785 as England’s first chartered medical school, Barts pairs three centuries of pioneering healthcare heritage with groundbreaking bench-to-bedside clinical discovery. Based across premier London teaching hospitals including The Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and St Bartholomew’s Hospital in the City of London, Barts also operates a custom-built international medical campus in Victoria, Gozo (Malta), delivering the identical GMC-accredited 5-year MBBS degree in the Mediterranean. With early patient contact from week one, world-ranked research in cancer genomics, trauma, and cardiovascular surgery, and world-class dental hospital facilities, Barts trains medical and dental leaders who shape global clinical practice.
