About Auburn University at Montgomery
Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is a premier, fully accredited public university located in Alabama’s historic capital city of Montgomery. Established by an act of the Alabama Legislature in 1967 as a vital branch campus of the renowned Auburn University system, AUM has grown into a vibrant academic center serving more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students representing dozens of countries worldwide. AUM offers nationally ranked programs across five prestigious colleges: the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the College of Sciences. The institution holds comprehensive regional institutional accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award bachelor’s, master’s, education specialist, and doctoral degrees. In addition, AUM’s professional programs hold the highest specialized accreditations in their respective disciplines, including AACSB International accreditation for the College of Business (a distinction held by fewer than 5 percent of business schools globally), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation, Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). The university provides international students with generous Warhawk and Focus scholarships, state-of-the-art campus facilities, an 84,000-square-foot Wellness Center, on-campus apartment housing, and cutting-edge STEM-designated curricula that qualify international F-1 graduates for up to three years of post-study Optional Practical Training (STEM OPT).
