About American College Dublin
American College Dublin (ACD), established in 1993 by Lynn University (Boca Raton, Florida) and now operating as a constituent college of Irish American University, is a unique higher education institution in Ireland offering dual Irish and American accredited degrees. Located in the magnificent, historic childhood home of Oscar Wilde at 1 Merrion Square North in the cultural epicentre of Dublin, ACD provides an intimate, student-centred learning environment combining the best of the American liberal arts curriculum with Ireland’s rich literary, theatrical, and business heritage. The institution holds institutional accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) in the United States and programme validation from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) across NFQ Levels 6 to 9. ACD is renowned for its distinguished conservatory programmes in Musical Theatre, Performing Arts (Acting), and Creative Writing, as well as career-focused undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in International Business, Event Management, Hospitality, and Sports Performance Coaching. As an eligible US Title IV institution (FAFSA School Code: G40214) approved for US Veterans Affairs (VA) GI Bill benefits, ACD serves a vibrant transatlantic student cohort. Non-EU international graduates of its degree programmes are eligible for Ireland’s Third Level Graduate Scheme (Stamp 1G stayback post-study work visa: 1 year for Honours Bachelor and 2 years for Master’s graduates).
