Visa information

Student Visas for Finland
Are you from Bangladesh? You’ll need a student residence permit to study in Finland.

Don’t worry, everything is manageable! We’re here to make your journey toward the right international degree in Finland smoother and a bit more fun.

While we get you up to speed, you can get a head start by:

  • Checking if you need a student residence permit. Since you’re from Bangladesh and planning full-time studies in Finland, yes, you’ll definitely need one.

  • Visiting the official Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) website. This is your go-to source for the latest, most accurate information. Bookmark it, explore it, and revisit it often.

  • Watching the deadlines. The permit process can take several weeks, so starting early ensures you don’t miss the semester start. Delays here can be a serious plot twist.

  • Gathering your paperwork. You’ll need your passport, admission letter from your Finnish university, completed residence permit application, proof of finances, passport-sized photos, academic transcripts, and language test results. Every document counts.

  • Proving you can financially support yourself. You’ll need to show you can cover tuition, living expenses, and perhaps a few Finnish pastries along the way.

  • Polishing your English skills. Even if you’ve taken IELTS, TOEFL, or other tests, strong language proficiency helps both your visa application and academic success.

Getting your Finnish student residence permit may seem like a lot, but it’s a crucial step toward an incredible study adventure.

Good luck and enjoy the journey!
