The main aim of the Physical Geography and Oceanography  programme from Klaipeda University  is to prepare highly qualified specialists who are able to creatively apply the acquired knowledge of geo-information technologies and physical geography in the fields of the marine environment, land management, and environmental protection.

Klaipeda University is among 200 top universities worldwide in the field of Oceanography (according to Shanghai rankings). 

Graduates can interpret natural, climatic and social phenomena and can apply this knowledge in practice while working in various nature protection departments and other environmental protection institutions, or hydrometeorological services.
