The Nursing Bridging Course is designed for internationally trained nurses, helping them meet the competencies required to practice as registered nurses in Malta. The program aligns with EU Directives 2013/55 and 2005/36, ensuring students meet the standards outlined in Directive 2013/55 Article 31 g (7 a-h). It offers a blend of theoretical learning and practical training, with a strong focus on patient-centered care, clinical practice, and understanding the Maltese healthcare system.
The course bridges knowledge gaps, covering key areas such as Maltese healthcare policies, protocols, legal frameworks, and ethical responsibilities. Students will gain the skills needed to deliver high-quality care in Malta’s hospitals and community settings, while also adhering to the regulatory standards of the Maltese health authorities.
